AN AUDIO SNAPSHOT REVIEW
In the made-for-TV movie Signed, Sealed, Delivered for Christmas—based on the popular Hallmark program Signed, Sealed, Delivered—four postal sleuths who run a fictional dead letter office have been incredibly busy. In addition to their usual job of getting nearly-impossible-to-deliver letters to their proper recipients, they’ve taken care of 20,000 letters addressed to Santa. They succeeded in getting it all done in the, uh, St. Nick of time.
Well, they almost succeeded, that is. As it turns out, they have one more letter to tackle before Christmas Eve—a little girl’s last-minute mailbox drop—this one addressed to God.
There are several reasons you may want to consider this movie for part of your Christmas. First, it’s very Touched by an Angel-esque. That’s because it was written and produced by Martha Williamson, the woman who brought that beloved show to TV 20 years ago. Second, the real meaning of Christmas is central to the story here. As for content issues, there’s not much except for one minor wardrobe choice.
