The latest entry in Bob Dylan’s “Bootleg Series” leads the slate of new releases hitting stores today. Dylan’s Tell Tale Signs: The Bootleg Series Vol. 8 collects three discs worth of outtakes, b-sides and live tracks from his late-career resurgence, starting in 1989. Mikal Gilmore says “This collection bears witness to Dylan’s reclamation of voice and perspective. He had been a singular visionary who upended rock & roll by recasting it as a force that could question society’s values and politics, but he relinquished that calling as the society grew more dangerous.” Click below for the complete write-up of Tell Tale Signs, as well as reviews of new albums by Oasis, Rise Against, the Streets, the Pretenders and the Clash. • Album Review: Bob Dylan, Tell Tale Signs: The Bootleg Series Vol. 8 (4.5 stars) • Album Review: Oasis, Dig Out Your Soul (2.5 stars) • Album Review: Rise Against, Appeal to Reason (3.5 stars) • Album Review: The Streets, Everything Is Borrowed (3.5 stars) • Album Review: The Clash, Live at Shea Stadium (4 stars) • Album Review: The Pretenders, Break Up the Concrete (4 stars) Related Stories: • Fall Music Preview: Bob Dylan • Fall Music Preview: Oasis • Fall Music Preview: The Pretenders • Fall Music Preview: Rise Against • Fall Music Preview: The Clash • Fall Music Preview: The Streets
